1.1 Volume Crime
- The Waverley Divisional Crime Investigation Team (DCIT) has been configured into 5 teams comprised as follows:
- 1 Detective Constable (DC) Team Leader – an experienced detective who will set an investigative strategy for each crime allocated to the team, tasking out work as appropriate and advising, guiding and directing the team.
- 1 Administrator/Allocator (AA) who provides administrative support to the team leader and Investigating staff. One of the key responsibilities within this role is the allocation of tasks formulated by the team leader, maximising the turnover of tasks by ensuring the optimum deployment of staff.
- 2 or 3 Investigating Officers (IOs) - these are specialist, uniformed police staff with a range of designated powers.
- 1 Police Constable (PC) who will work alongside the investigating officers, providing further police powers and knowledge to the team.
